WHO WE ARE
We are a small handmade candle company located in Hampshire, United Kingdom. Our aim is to provide a range of candles that appeal to everyone, with an ethical focus on environmentally friendly, vegan, cruelty-free, and natural, organic ingredients.
Our long-term ambition is to create candles unrivalled by any other, we aim to gather the best scents, sourced in the most ethical ways, at an affordable price. We hope our practices enable the world to be a slightly happier, greener, and better smelling place.
We are happy to announce we will soon be plastic-free! Through meticulous resourcing and talks with our suppliers, we have secured entirely recyclable packaging which we hope to roll out soon.
All of our products can be found under the shop page, with discounts available on our Vivacity selection, and we offer free delivery to local postcodes (see shop for details).
At Winchester Aromatics we promise that we are unequivocally dedicated to the sustainable development and usage of our planet's resources, and we actively take measures to deliver upon this promise.
First and foremost, we are proud to announce we will soon be entirely plastic-free. We have dedicated all of our efforts to minimise the usage of plastics in our products and packaging, with the current exceptions of our candle labels and small quantities of sellotape in our packaging (we are currently phasing these out and replacing them with plastic-free alternatives). All of our boxes, tins, and void fill are reusable and entirely recyclable. We also ask our packaging suppliers to minimise or remove unnecessary plastic packing where possible.
Secondly, we do not use palm oil in any of our products in any form, due to the consequences resulting from the deforestation of Indonesia's Rainforests, we are also filtering through our confectionary suppliers to verify that their palm oil is derived from a sustainable source. This is a big issue for us, as we love orangutans!
As some of you may know by now, we are expanding our range to include bath bombs, the first of many new products we aim to produce. However, we are currently sourcing ingredients to minimise the products' impact on waterways and the marine life it contains.
